About Yutori Therapy

What is yutori?

Yutori (ゆとり) is a Japanese concept that translates to "spaciousness," "leeway," or "room to breathe". It encourages creating space, both physically and mentally, to allow for relaxation, reflection, and a more balanced life. Yutori is about resisting the urge to fill every moment with activity and instead embracing stillness and mindful appreciation.

What is ikigai?

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that translates to "a reason for being" or "what makes life meaningful". It's about finding purpose and joy in life by aligning your passions, talents, values, and contributions to the world. Essentially, it's about discovering what makes you feel alive and grateful to be living.

"Iki" (生き): means "to live" or "life"  and  "Gai" (甲斐): means "benefit," "worth," or "value".

Together, "ikigai" suggests finding the value and purpose that makes your life worthwhile.

It's a journey of self-discovery, encouraging you to explore your passions, strengths, and contributions to society. The concept often involves finding the intersection of what you love, what you're good at, what the world needs, and what you can get paid for.

Ikigai can be a source of motivation, happiness, and a sense of fulfillment.

So in essence, ikigai is about finding your purpose and living a life that is aligned with your values and passions.

What is Equilibrium?

Sometimes referred to as divine balance, generally refers to a state of equilibrium and harmony, often associated with spiritual or divine principles. Though this does not just apply to belief structures. It signifies a harmonious integration of opposing forces, such as the masculine and feminine, or action and emotion, within oneself and/or in the universe. Achieving divine balance can lead to a sense of wholeness, spiritual liberation, and a deeper understanding of life's purpose.
